Flashback to simpler days when girl groups ruled and music was as sweet as a strawberry milkshake. Music Theater of Idaho is branching out and presenting dinner theater in a new venue with “The Taffetas.” Follow these hit-bound hopefuls from Muncie, Ind., as they harmonize their way from the local Moose Lodge to their debut on national television in New York City. The show, from creator and arranger Rick Lewis, pays tribute to great girl groups such as the Maguire and Fontane sisters with a whimsical array of pop hits from the 1950s.
