Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State women’s hoops defeated at New Mexico

The Broncos squandered a first-half lead and took a 58-53 loss to New Mexico on Wednesday night in Albuquerque. BSU was leading 30-24 at the half. Lauren Lenhardt scored 13 points for Broncos (8-7, 1-1 MW), and Brandi Henton chipped in 12.

IDAHO HALL OF FAMER DIES: Wayne D. Anderson died Wednesday at age 82. Anderson played football and baseball for the Vandals before serving as an assistant coach in football and basketball, and ultimately taking on head coaching roles in basketball and baseball. Later in his career, he was an assistant athletic director.

IDAHO STATE FOOTBALL: Tight end Josh Hill, a Blackfoot High grad, will play in the 88th East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Saturday. The senior earned third-team AP All-American honors this season while catching 70 passes for 630 yards and five touchdowns.
