Idaho women’s basketball team loses two players

Abi Quinnett and Ashley Walters have left the team due to what university officials described as “medical issues.” “I wouldn’t say they quit the team, they left because of a medical issue,” coach Jon Newlee said. “I can’t really say more than that because of the privacy laws.” Quinnett, who was redshirting this season as a freshman, was the Inland Empire League player of the year at Moscow High. Walters, a 6-foot-4 junior, was one of Idaho’s top shot-blockers.

IDAHO FOOTBALL: Offensive tackle Jordan Johnson will appear before a judge after drawing a DUI and other charges. The charges included driving without privileges, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drug. Johnson was arrested by the Idaho State Patrol in the early morning of Nov. 25.
