Peter Oliver, works as an investment and land brokerage specialist at the commercial real estate firm, replaces Gail May, who resigned her position last month, the auditorium district announced Tuesday. The district collects the city hotel tax and operates the convention center.
A veteran of development and business in the Treasure Valley, Oliver has helped develop high-profile projects, including the Idaho Independent Bank Building and Victory Business Center in Boise. According to an auditorium district statement, Oliver has previously served on a number of boards, including the Children's Home Society of Idaho, College of Idaho and the St. Luke's Children's Hospital Advisory Board.
Oliver's term runs through May 2015, but he must be elected this May to stay in the position through the full term, according to the district. He is to assume his duties immediately.
