Meridian police have been searching a home in the 3000 block of N. Turnberry Way since Saturday where the body of an 87-year-old man was found earlier this month.
Police officials have released little information about the case but did say Monday officers were first sent to the house, located in the Ten Mile/Ustick roads neighborhood, Jan. 2 to investigate a report of an unattended death.
Ada County Coroner officials identified the man found there as Otis Conner. Coroner's records list the cause and manner of Conner's death as undetermined.
Police went back to the home, at 3084 N. Turnberry Way, Saturday after getting some new information on the case and are trying to determine if a crime occurred, Meridian Police Chief Jeff Lavey said Monday. Lavey said the department has received conflicting information on what may have happened and are working to sort it out. Investigators were still at the home as of 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Meridian police expect to release more information on the investigation at a later date but officials didnt say when.
