On Wednesday a section of the Greenbelt along the south side of the Boise River west of Barber Park will close for about two weeks for repair work.
Years of riverbank erosion have deteriorated the adjacent Greenbelt pathway in the area, which lies about halfway between S. Eckert Road and E. Parkcenter Boulevard. Temporary fencing and signage will mark the closure area.
On Tuesday Ada County Parks and Waterways will hold an open on Tuesday house to provide more information on the project. The open house takes place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Barber Park main office, conference room, 4049 S. Eckert Road.
