Flash back to 1987 — the days of hot pink leg warmers, hair bands and arena rock — with the cast of “Rock of Ages.” The hit Broadway show inspired the film, but don’t hold that against the musical. This fun send-up of the attitudes and themes of the 1980s is a raucous ride though the music that defined the era. A small-town girl meets an L.A. dreamer in a legendary rock club and falls in love to the hits of the ’80s — including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling” “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Too Much Time On My Hands.”
