A Boise man is accused of assaulting his in-home health provider with a fire extinguisher.
Bradin Shay Bulen, 22, broke a lamp during a meeting and was being escorted back to his home in the 8500 block of West Fairview Avenue when he became angry and grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher, according to Boise police. The health provider had escorted Bulen to the meeting.
Bulen struck the provider with the extinguisher then kicked and hit him several times, police say. Police were called to the home about 12:25 p.m.
The victim, described by police as an adult male, was transported to a hospital. Police described his injuries as non-life threatening but serious.
"When you hit somebody with something that heavy, it's going to leave some pretty serous injuries," said Charles McClure, spokesman for the Boise Police Department.
Bulen was booked into the Ada County Jail for felony aggravated battery and misdemeanor malicious injury to property. His booking photo shows slight injuries to his face, but McClure said they are from a medical condition.
