Idaho commerce director pleads for technology in the classroom

Idaho Commerce Director Jeffrey Sayer Jeffery Sayer went down on one knee in front of legislators and business leaders Thursday to keep from letting voter rejection of school reforms last fall sap the momentum out of boosting technology in the classroom. Sayer said technology is important to expanding Idaho’s economy.

Sayer polled those attending the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Legislative Forum about Idaho’s economy using smartphone software. Their most important concern about the economy? Building a robust workforce. Their biggest workforce problem? Getting skilled employees. Top business priority? A competitive tax structure.
