Lauren Lenhardts 3-pointer with 20 seconds remaining propelled the Boise State womens basketball team to a 70-68 victory over Wyoming in the Mountain West opener for both teams Wednesday night at Taco Bell Arena in Boise.
Brandi Henton led the Broncos (8-6, 1-0) with a career-high 21 points, while Lenhardt added her fifth double-double of the year with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Down four points with 1 minute, 58 seconds to play, Boise State rallied on a Lexie Der jumper followed by a Henton basket with 1 minute remaining to tie the score at 66-66.
Wyoming (11-3, 0-1) responded with a Kayla Woodward layup to regain a 68-66 lead with 33 seconds on the clock.
That setup Lenhardts game-winning shot. The Broncos found their senior leader open high on the right wing where she let sail the decisive shot.
