Nampa Police Department

Three reports of attempted child luring in Nampa prompted police on Wednesday to warn citizens and ask for help identifying a suspect. Police don't know for sure if the man is the same man in each case.

A man in a late 1990s to early 2000s black, two-door passenger car in the Crestwood Estates subdivision, near Karcher Road and Midway Road, and near West Iowa Avenue and Midland Boulevard, approached children.

The man is described as a light-skinned Hispanic in his early 20s to early 30s and between 5-foot-5 and 6-feet tall with a small build. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

The first incident was reported Dec. 13. A girl told police she was walking to her bus stop in the subdivision when a man in a newer white passenger car pulled up and tried to get her to get inside.

On Wednesday, police said they've identified two similar cases on Lonestar Road near the Stillwater subdivision that occurred in November and on Jan. 3

Anyone who believes they recognize someone depicted is asked to call Sgt. Donald Peck at (208) 475-5714, or call Crime Stoppers at (208) 343-COPS.
