A 255-home, 193-acre subdivision proposed along the Boise River received a green light from the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission Monday night.
A public hearing before the Eagle City Council is tentatively set for Feb.12.
The proposed Mace River Ranch is located on the east side of Eagle Island along Mace Road between Two Rivers subdivision and the north channel of the Boise River.
Included in the development application is rezoning the land from agricultural one home per 20 acres to R2, which allows up to two homes per acre.
The developer, Mace Ranch LLC, proposes large estate, executive and custom lots. Plans also call for publicly accessible features including a small sportmans access park with parking adjacent to Eagle Road, a 10-foot-wide asphalt Greenbelt path near the river and a nature preserve north of the residential area.
