Stampede open showcase with loss to Texas Legends

Idaho (4-13) held a three-point advantage after three quarters but couldn’t hold on in a 104-84 loss to the Texas Legends (11-5) on Monday at the NBA D-League Showcase in Reno.

The Legends outscored the Stampede 39-16 in the fourth quarter.

Nolan Smith scored a game-high 28 points in his Stampede debut. Smith, a former ACC player of the year from Duke, is on assignment from the Portland Trail Blazers.
