COLLEGE ATHLETICS

The Big Eastnever made sense

It’s about time that Dr. Kustra found out what the rest of Bronco Nation has known from the beginning, that going to the Big East was a bad idea.

Now BSU will retain its ties and rivalries with schools such as Nevada and Fresno State and develop new rivalries with Air Force, Wyoming, etc.

This will allow Bronco Nation to travel to away games in much larger numbers than would have been possible in the Big East. This also will address our improving basketball program that seemingly was being thrown under the bus at the expense of the football team. Now it will have a quality conference to play in, as will the rest of Boise State’s sporting teams.

Watch out for those mail-order brides

The Big East: A mail-order bride gone wrong!

Imagine you converse with a potential mail-order bride for several years. She appears to be all you imagined and you “contract” to marry in two years.

When she arrives in the U.S., she has a glass eye, false teeth and a wooden leg.

This is not the “bride” that you invested in marrying.

Same with the Big East.

The “league” that Boise State deposited its investment in no longer exists.

The “cream” of the Big East is gone. The automatic AQ is gone. The $$ television deal is gone.

This “bride” is damaged goods, and no one wants to pay the premium price for her. I implore the university to not pay any fees to the Big East.
