Boise Police are thanking the public for its help in locating two children Saturday. The children were found in a local residence at about 8:45 p.m.

The police had been searching for the children and their father in northwest Boise Saturday evening. Police said the man was wanted for questioning in connection with an alleged crime.

The trio was on foot. Police were concerned for their safety because of the cold.

Police would not say Saturday whether the man was found.
