A man robbed a bank in Garden City on Friday about 5 p.m., police said.

The robber spoke with two employees at Washington Trust Bank, 7309 W. State St., before informing them they were being robbed, according to the Garden City Police Department.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He did not display a weapon.

The robber is described as a white man in his 50s or 60s with grey facial hair. He wore a beanie cap pulled over a billed hat, as we as a green coat with the words "fresh produce" printed don it, along with blue jeans.
