Pianist Floyd Cramer — known as the architect of the “Nashville sound” — passed on an enduring musical legacy to America and to his grandson, Jason Coleman. Now, Coleman continues the family tradition with his show “The Legacy of Floyd Cramer.” Cramer created the “slip note” piano style that does for the piano what the slide does for the guitar. As a session player, you’ll hear him on such classics as Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel” and Patsy Cline’s “Crazy,” plus hits of his own. Coleman has honed the same American piano style and will bring his show to Boise this weekend.
