Kona Grill is the latest tenant to sign a lease at The Village at Meridian, a developing lifestyle complex on the northeast corner of Fairview Avenue and Eagle Road. Kona Grill will occupy 6,649 square feet in the complex and should create about 100 jobs, according to CenterCal Properties.

"We are excited to reignite the growth of Kona Grill with the signing of the Boise lease," said Berke Bakay, president and CEO of Kona Grill. "We have great confidence in the long-term prospects of our brand and continue to work diligently on evaluating several prospective locations to expand our concept in a disciplined manner."

Kona Grill serves sushi as well as American dishes with an international influence. Kona Grill has 23 restaurants in 16 states. It is based in Arizona.

The announcement follows December grand openings for Noodles & Co., Meridian Smiles Dentistry and My Kid’s Dentist & Orthodontics at the complex. A full grand opening of the complex is planned for fall.

Developer CenterCal Properties has invested $300 million in the project.
