The Bakersfield Condors defeated Idaho 2-1 in California on Wednesday night. Former Steelhead Deron Cousens scored the lone goal of the shootout. Idaho goaltender Tyler Beskorowany and Bakersfield netminder Scott Greenham each stopped 36-of-37 shots prior to the shootout. Justin Dowling scored for Idaho (20-7-5) in the third period to even the score at 1-1.

• The Steelheads announced before the game that Texas of the AHL had reassigned Austin Smith to the team. Smith leads Idaho with 16 goals in 20 games.
