Idaho colleges roundup: Harris, Idaho men rally past Seattle in WAC opener

SEATTLE — Robert Harris hit three 3-pointers in the final 2:34 on Saturday night, helping Idaho rally for a 71-64 victory over Seattle at Key Arena.

Kyle Barone led Idaho (5-6, 1-0 WAC) with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

Harris finished with 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Connor Hill scored 12 points.

Seattle (5-6, 0-1), playing its first NCAA Division I conference game in 33 years, led 56-49 with 6:07 left on a 3-pointer by Chad Rasmussen, but could not hold on.

IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Vandals (3-9, 0-1) dropped their WAC opener 76-71 to Seattle (4-6, 1-0) in Moscow. Sophomore reserve Stacey Barr led Idaho with 18 points.

IDAHO STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL: Washington State (9-4) overcame a slow start to defeat the Bengals 74-39. Chris Hansen’s 12 points led Idaho State (1-10), which lost its fifth consecutive game.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders (7-3) defeated Montana Tech 78-62 behind the 18 points of Grayson Moore in a nonconference matchup in Nampa.
