Boise Airport to move cell phone waiting area during garage construction

Published: December 28, 2012

With expansion of the garage scheduled to get under way Jan. 3, the area designated for people to wait in their cars for arriving passengers will relocate to the economy lot on Victory Road near the Interstate 84 Orchard Street overpass. The area's current location is along the airport's entrance road.

The waiting area is free for the first 20 minutes. After that, the standard rate of 75 cents per 30 minutes applies.

Drivers must stay in their cars while in the waiting area.

Short-term parking is also available in the first floor of the current Garage throughout next year’s construction period.

The Garage Expansion Project at Boise Airport will add 770 highly desirable protected and close-in parking stalls. The $13 million project will be funded with $11 million in airport revenue bonds and the remainder with airport cash reserves.
