Anthony Neyer is the first quarterback to sign with new Vandals coach Paul Petrino.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder completed 32-of-65 passes for 422 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore at Pierce College (Calif.).
Neyer initially attended USC, but transferred to Pierce after his freshman season.
Anthony has great talent, Petrino said. He throws a nice ball with a great release. We are very excited to have him join the team in January and compete for the quarterback job.
