SPIN ME, DJ

The folks at China Blue, Dirty Little Roddy’s and Main Street Bistro are joining forces for the I Survived (the end of the world) New Year’s Eve Block Party at 6th and Main streets. $20 gets you into all three clubs where you’ll find DJs, go-go dancers and drink specials and a midnight toast. Book VIP packages in the membership lounge ($250 to $500 for a table) at 577-7995.

Check out the digs at Garden City’s new 2,200-capacity Revolution Center while DJs J.Rabbit and RoboRob blast the tunes until 2 a.m. It’s $15 at Ticketfly.

DJ Eric Rhodes will spin music until after midnight at the WC Lounge, 1065 Winding Creek Road, Eagle. No cover.

ROCK IT LIVE

Texas-based Micky and the Motorcars will play their annual New Year’s Eve gig at the Knitting Factory, 416 S. 9th St., Boise. Muzzie Braun and Audio Moonshine open. Music starts at 9:30. Snag a ticket for $26 at Ticketfly.

Celebrate the start of 2013 with five bands at the 1332 Records New Year’s Eve Bash at Liquid Lounge, 405 S. 8th St. You can rock out with Jimmy Sinn, Roofied Resistance, the reunion of Heibarger and Piranhas. It’s $5 at the door. That includes a midnight toast, drink specials, prizes and giveaways. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Apocalypse: A New Year Party to End the World as We Know It? features stories with a beat, music, DJs, burlesque dancers, film mixing and more — all centered on the theme of ending with a total blast. 7 p.m. Dec. 31, The Rose Room, 718 W. Idaho St., Boise. $15 at storystorynight.bigcartel.com, $20 at the door.

The New Year’s Eve Bash with the Rocci Johnson Band at Humpin’ Hannah’s, 621 W. Main St., Boise, starts at 9 p.m. The $10 cover includes party favors and a midnight toast, with giveaways all night long. Doors open at 7 p.m.

It will be a Blue Year’s Eve at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St., Boise, with seasoned rockers the Blues Addicts and special guests. You’ll find a full bar and pizza from Pie Hole starting at 8 p.m. It’s $10 at the door.

The Red Room, 1519 Main St., Boise, will host A Green Jello New Year’s Eve with the outlandish punk band Green Jello headlining the festivities. Green jello shots will be served at the bar, of course. It’s $5 in advance at Ticketfly, $7 at the door.

J.R. & The Stingrays headline the annual Rockin’ New Year’s Eve at the Boise Centre, 850 W. Front St., It’s $20 in advance at Select-a-Seat, $25 at the door for 21 and older only. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Both the Owyhee and Grove hotels offer room packages with this event.

Go Back to the Future at the Boise Hotel and Conference Center, 3300 S. Vista Ave. Dress in 1950s style and dance the year away to Slow Ricky. There will be appetizers and a no-host bar, midnight toast and a live ball drop. $25 per person, $40 per couple. For details on hotel packages, call 343-4900.

IT’S A PARTY

There are two ways to celebrate 2013 at the Riverside Hotel, 2900 W. Chinden Blvd., Garden City.

• In the Sapphire Room, You can dine in style, laugh with The Fool Squad and enjoy the John Jones Trio. It goes 8 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. $89 per person.

• In the main ballroom, the Fabulous Chancellors will rock out for their annual New Year’s Celebration starting at 8:30 p.m. $10 at the door. For information on hotel packages, call 343-1871.

BUCK IT FOR NYE

Rope in a rip-roarin’ rodeo this New Year’s Eve with the Bulls and Broncs Bash at the Canyon County Fairgrounds, 111 22nd Ave., Caldwell. The action starts at 8 p.m. with a variety of bull riding. Then you can dance to the Jeff Palmer Band. It’s $20 in advance at CanyonCountyFair.org. $25 at the door, $10 for kids 6 to 12.

IT’S A (SEXY) PARTY

The Red Light Variety Show and Alley Repertory Theater present A Derriere Affair at the Visual Arts Collective, 3638 Osage St., Garden City. The night of dancing, burlesque performance and fun is a fundraiser to buy new chairs for the VaC. Pay-what-you-can entry.

At the Skyfall New Year’s Eve Survivors Party, you’ll hear pumping DJ music, see local “Bond girls” Belle Mort and Stella Sin, plus you can enter your own “Best Bond” and “Best Bond Girl” contest. It’s from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the PowerHouse Event Center, 621 S. 17th St., in Boise. $10 at Ticketfly.

BELLY UP

Go belly and flamenco at Salt Tears, 714 W. State St. Boise, with entertainment by District 19 Flamenco and belly dancer Cecilia Rinn. The show starts at 8 p.m. with prix fixe dinner specials cooked up by chef Andrea Maricich ($29) and a midnight toast.
