The Maine Red Claws defeated the Idaho Stampede 108-94 on Wednesday night at CenturyLink Arena.
The final score was lopsided, but the outcome appeared to be in doubt as Idaho (1-11) got to within three points with 4 minutes remaining. Maine (8-4) closed out the contest by outscoring Idaho 13-2.
It definitely could have been a couple possession game, Idaho coach Mike Peck said. But the message all week was you have got to value every possession.
The game featured 19 lead changes and the score was tied 11 times, but Peck said Idahos 20 turnovers were too much to overcome.
Fab Melo, on assignment from the Boston Celtics, had a game-high 32 points and nine blocks for Maine.
Justin Holiday had a team-high 21 points for Idaho, which will try to notch its second win of the season against Reno on Friday night at CenturyLink Arena.
