Four-year-old Kathy, splashed with colored chalk and poster paint, joined with 150 people Sunday April 15, 2012 dancing and singing to celebrate the Indian Holi Festival at the Boise Hare Krishna Temple and Vedic Cultural Center. The festival heralds the arrival of spring and is considered an open celebration encouraging people of all religions, classes and ethnic background to join together. "We call it a festival of unity and diversity," said Arun Gupta, a past president at the center.
