GARDEN CITY Computer equipment was stolen from the Special Olympics Idaho office at 119 E. 52nd St., police said Tuesday. Its unclear when the break-in occurred, but it was reported to police Monday morning.
One or more thieves used a cinder block to break through the glass door of the Garden City office. Two laptops were taken, said Sgt. Blair Brannan. With few good leads, police are asking for the publics help in solving the crime.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 472-2950. Tipsters may remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers, 343-COPS (2677).
"We are all fully aware of the positive contributions that the Special Olympics serve to the good citizens of Idaho. We have very few leads on this case and need the public's help in solving this crime," Brannan said in a press release early Tuesday.
"Maybe somebody opens their mouth ... You're taking from the Special Olympians, really?"
