What's open and closed Christmas 2012

This is a list of what’s open and closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:

• Schools are closed, including Boise State University.

• All city, county, state and federal offices will be closed Tuesday and may have limited hours on Monday.

• Most local libraries will be closed Monday and Tuesday. The main branch of the Boise Public Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.

• Allied Waste in Ada and Canyon counties, Sanitary Services in Meridian, J&M Sanitation Service in Kuna and Benjamin’s Rural Disposal in rural Canyon County will delay trash collection by one day the rest of the week.

• ValleyRide city buses have limited service Monday and will not run Tuesday.

• Post offices will be closed Tuesday, and no mail, except Express Mail, will be delivered. Post offices will be open regular hours on Monday.

• Boise Towne Square will be open until 6 p.m. Monday and will be closed Tuesday.

• All state liquor stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, and some contract stores may be open. All stores will be closed Tuesday.

• Bogus Basin is open.

• Most supermarkets will be open Monday. Tuesday hours may vary.

• Some banks may have shortened hours Monday. Call your local branch. All banks will be closed Tuesday.
