KEITH PRICE, QUARTERBACK
Price experienced a sharp statistical dropoff this season and was turnover-prone. But he also was dealing with injuries on the offensive line and a lack of production at wide receiver.
He ranked seventh in the nation in pass efficiency last season with a school-record 33 touchdown passes but has tumbled to 77th this season with 18 TDs.
Coach Steve Sarkisian told reporters this week that Prices confidence wavered during the season but he has bounced back well.
Im confident he is going to go out and play a really good football game Saturday against a really good Boise State team, Sarkisian said, and cap off the season with a pretty respectable season numbers-wise when you look at what he has been able to accomplish and set himself up for a nice finale in his senior year in 2013.
BISHOP SANKEY, TAILBACK
Sankey is a strong between-the-tackles runner with 1,234 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns this season. He also ranks third on the team with 27 catches.
Hes got really good feet, Boise State defensive lineman Darren Koontz said. He keeps moving through contact and breaks tackles.
Sankey is the 11th Washington runner to rush for 1,000 yards. He topped 100 yards against Oregon and Stanford, and has been a workhorse of late.
In the past five games, he has carried at least 23 times and as many as 34 times. Combined, he has 137 carries for 660 yards and eight touchdowns during that stretch.
Hes got good vision, Boise State defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski said. He makes the first guy miss on contact.
DESMOND TRUFANT, CORNERBACK
The younger brother of former Washington State star and current Seattle Seahawks player Marcus Trufant is the Huskies only All-Pac-12 first-teamer.
That award was a goal for Trufant, who received honorable mention last year.
Me and (graduate assistant Donte Williams), that was one of our goals to get to that next step, to get to that elite level, Trufant said. He helped me a lot this season.
Trufant started 45 consecutive games until missing the Colorado game earlier this season. He has six career interceptions and has accepted a Senior Bowl invitation.
Hes played a lot of football, Boise State coach Chris Petersen said. Hes a smart guy who studies tape and knows tendencies and is a big corner. Hes seen a lot of good players and a lot of different routes.
