Staffers at the Interfaith Sanctuary, a Boise shelter for men, women and families, is still looking for donations of warm winter items.
The items will be distributed to shelter residents on Christmas Day. All Christmas needs for children at the shelter have been met, but adult residents still need: hats all sizes; scarves and scarf sets; sweat pants and shirts for adults all sizes; new underwear for men, women, and children; new tube socks all sizes; new thermal underwear sets for men and women; new sweaters for women; new flannel or other warm shirts for men; hygiene and personal care items (e.g., toothbrushes, small tubes of toothpaste, deodorant, tweezers, nail clippers, brushes, combs ); hand and foot warmers; bedding twin fitted sheets and twin blankets; pocket calendars and pens.
All Christmas items need to be delivered to the shelter by Monday, Dec. 24 at noon. The shelter can arrange for daytime deliveries by 10 a.m. on Monday if you email in advance: info@interfaithsanctuary.org).
Otherwise, donors can bring items to the shelter in the evenings (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.
