Annual memorial vigil will remember Boise's homeless men and women

Published: December 19, 2012

The annual vigil takes place in cities across the U.S., always on Dec. 21, the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year.

The event remembers the men and women in the homeless community who have died during the year.

The local vigil is at 7 p.m., Friday at Interfaith Sanctuary, 1620 W. River St. in Boise.

This year's event will pay tribute to 14 people — ten people who were homeless or recently housed and four advocates who volunteered their time at Corpus Christi House, the day shelter.

The public is welcome.
