Josh Owens joined the Idaho roster on Wednesday. The 6-foot-8, 240-pound All-Pac-12 selection played 120 games for the Cardinal from 2007-12, averaging 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
This past summer, Owens played four games for the Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA Summer League and was a training camp invitee.
The Stampede waived Garrett Green to make room on the roster.
Idaho hosts Santa Cruz at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at CenturyLink Arena.
