Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State coach leads U.S. college team to world title

The USA national tennis team won its third world championship in the past four years this past weekend at the Master’U BNP Paribas Championships in France. The team was coached by Boise State’s Greg Patton and Cal’s Amanda Augustus. The U.S. defeated Belgium (7-0) in the quarterfinals, Russia (6-1) in the semifinals and Germany (5-2) in the finals. Patton is 11-1 as the national coach over the past four years at the event.

BSU VOLLEYBALL: Senior rightside hitter Liz Harden was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s honorable mention All-America list. Harden is the first Bronco volleyball player to receive the recognition.
