Idaho colleges roundup: Two BSU track and field athletes honored by MW

Jordin Andrade and Emma Bates were named the conference’s athletes of the week for Nov. 30 to Dec. 7. Andrade won the 400-meter dash at the Jacksons Open on Dec. 1 in Nampa, and Bates won the women’s mile at the same event.

BOISE STATE MEN’S TENNIS: Brendan McClain (Ventura, Calif.) and Abe Hewko (Palm Desert, Calif.) have signed national letters of intent and will join the team in the fall. McClain is the No. 9 prospect in the country, according to TennisRecruiting.net, and Hewko is No. 22.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE SOFTBALL: The Crusaders signed Rocky Mountain product Rachel Nebel to a letter of intent. The team also signed Megan Lounsbury (Twin Falls) and Ashley Pesek (Richmond, Ore.).
