The parent company of Silver Mountain Resort has announced it plans to sell the ski resort and water park through sealed-bid auctions between January and April.

Jeld-Wen, a building-products maker and resort-property owner in Klamath Falls, Ore., has owned the resort for 16 years.

Silver Mountain General Manager Jeff Colburn says the ski resort will stay open through the ski season.

The resort includes the ski area and indoor water park and a nearby golf-course community.
