BI Editor David Staats: Help spread the word about BI

Published: December 11, 2012

Two weeks ago I mentioned that Business Insider’s print distribution now tops 10,000 copies a week. An effort by our circulation department pushed us over that mark: We added to BI’s distribution list about 900 businesses that had Statesman subscriptions but hadn’t yet opted in to BI.

It surprises me how many people never picked up on the change we made a year ago to stop charging most Statesman subscribers extra for BI. So I’ll repeat it here: If you already receive the newspaper on Tuesdays, you can receive BI at no extra charge just by calling 377-6370 to opt in. Single copies in boxes cost $2 each if you don’t.

If you’re a print subscriber taking advantage of the new Idaho Statesman Plus subscription program, you now have one inclusive print and digital subscription package with full access to our website from your computer, tablet or smartphone. The plan includes e-editions of both the Statesman and BI. The e-editions are replicas of the print edition, and they’re searchable. If you don’t want print, you can subscribe to the e-editions alone for $70 a year. Either plan provides access to BI’s searchable database of public records such as new business filings, bankruptcies and liens.

If you’re a business subscriber to the print BI, put a copy in your waiting area when you’re done reading it. Give your customers a fresh local alternative to those old copies of People or Arizona Highways.
