A photo of a sleeping baby in the arms of Santa who also appears to be dozing off has become a Christmas season sensation on Facebook. More than 330,000 people have "liked" the photo taken at the Boise Towne Square mall, and more than 41,200 have shared it with others.
The 8-month-old baby in the photo is the son of Sarah Pasley, a Meridian mom. In the caption with the photo, she describes how Kiptyn fell asleep while she waited in line to get a photo with Santa earlier this month.
Pasley had planned to head home, but Santa motioned them over. He improvised on the spot, creating a charming and memorable image. It was posted Dec. 4 on the Facebook page of Carter's, a children's clothing maker.
San Francisco Chronicle writer Jeff Eider described the photo on Twitter as "what may be the best Santa mall photo ever." Check out the photo . (Note: That link went down Sunday night for unknown reasons, so here's a link to the photo that Pasley posted on her own Facebook page.
It's not too late to take your little ones to get a photo with Santa. His hours at the mall Sunday are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For the rest of the schedule, visit the mall Web site.
