Bellevue woman dies in crash near Utah border

Rosa Woodall, 44, of Bellevue, died on her way to the hospital Saturday after being injured in a rollover crash.

Saturday morning, at about 8:15 a.m., Michael Woodall, 54, of Bellevue was traveling east on I-84 not far from the Juniper Rest Stop in Eastern Idaho near the Utah border.

Rosa Woodall, their 11-year-old daughter and three other juvenile passengers were also in the truck. Woodall changed lanes to pass a slower car. He lost control of the truck, drove off the shoulder of the road and overturned in the median.

Woodall and his 11 year old daughter were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. The three passengers Three were transported to Cassia Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance. Rosa Woodall died while being taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Ogden, Utah.

Michael Woodall was the only occupant wearing a seatbelt. Next of kin have been notified and the crash is still under investigation.
