Two upcoming events will benefit Boise's Women's and Children's Alliance

Published: December 8, 2012

Dec. 15 is a big day for fans of fun stuff and the Women's and Children's Alliance. Two events that day will help fill the nonprofit's coffers.

First, there's "Tattergeddon."

Tatergeddon is a special tailgate event during the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, noon through half-time. For a $10 donation to the WCA, people can come in and have barbecue pork and brisket, coleslaw, baked beans and mashed vs. baked potatoes. The WCA is recipient of all of the donations from this event.

Tickets are available on the WCA's website: http://www.wcaboise.org/.

Later that same night, at 6:30 p.m., there's Concert for Cause at the Knitting Factory. The concert headliner is the Portland indie band Blind Pilot.

The opening act is Allen Stone. The WCA will receive a portion of the ticket sales and all of the proceeds from the silent and live auction items. Staffers from the WCA will be volunteering at both events.

Concert tickets are available on the Knitting Factory's website: http://bo.knittingfactory.com/event/170363/.
