Idaho organizations step up for wounded Marine

Published: December 8, 2012

Marine Lance Corporal Randal Wright was left a triple amputee after stepping on an IED while securing a compound in Salaam Bazaar, Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2010.

Wright is moving into a new home on Marko Lane in Kuna. Local groups Operation Homefront and A.R.T Furniture Inc. presented him with about $10,000 worth of new furniture after a "key" ceremony on Saturday.

This specially adapted home was built by Homes for Our Troops and local builder Cotner Building Company. Peasley Transfer and Storage stored the furniture at no cost while the new house was being finished.

Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors.
