If you think 44 percent turnover in the Legislature’s membership is a big deal, take a look at the 54 percent turnover on the committees, where leadership changes compounded the impact of decennial redistricting and retirements.

The House completed its organizational session Friday, and the Senate on Thursday.

Among the 10 Senate committees, six have new chairmen. In the House, seven of 14 have new leaders.
