Idaho comes back to win in overtime

CHENEY, Wash. — Stephen Madison scored 29 and Kyle Barone scored 20 to lead Idaho to an 81-79 overtime victory over Eastern Washington.

Barone had 11 rebounds and Madison had 10 to give both double-doubles. Connor Hill and Mansa Habeeb added 10 points apiece for the Vandals (3-4).

Eastern Washington led 34-33 at halftime in a game that saw 22 lead changes. At 15:53 in the second half, the Eagles led by 17. With 3:22 to play, a 3-pointer by Hill put Idaho up 65-62, and Madison made two free throws to make it 67-62. Venky Jois hit a layup for the Eagles, and Justin Crosgile made a 3-pointer at 1:32 to tie the score at 67-67.

During overtime, Idaho shot 75 percent from the field. Eastern Washington (2-6) shot 42.9 percent.

Crosgile had 26 points. Jois had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
