It’s a tradition as romantic as mistletoe. “Pope of Trash” John Waters hits the road during holiday season to share his one-man, spoken-word show about Christmas. Waters, best known as a filmmaker (“Hairspray,” “Pink Flamingos”), has a special relationship with the holiday season, which he finds both intriguing and terrifying. “I have advice for everybody, if you love or hate Christmas,” he explained to The Baltimore Sun. “It’s a self-help show.” It goes without saying that any Waters experience is geared for open-minded adults: Waters is, as his press release explains, “putting the X in Xmas.”
