As of Tuesday, Dec. 4, members of the Soroptimist Club were still looking for donors to fill more than 40 gift requests for seniors and 30 for children in foster care. “We’ve begun to fill some of the gift card requests on our end using financial donations we’ve received to date, so while the numbers have gone down since Monday, we now have even fewer funds available to fill the remaining requests, particularly for the foster children,” said Soroptimist Lena Gandiaga.
The majority of unfilled senior requests are for clothing (shirts, pants, sweat suits, etc.) while the majority of unfilled foster children requests are for gift cards.
The deadline for donations is Friday, Dec. 7: To donate a gift, visit www.soroptimistboise.org/donations to find a list of names and wishes, and drop-off sites.
