This vehicle hit a large landscaping rock off of Northview Street before rolling across Cole Road and coming to rest next to Northview Dental Center. Two people in the vehicle were transported to a local hospital.

A girl was ejected from a vehicle after it left the road at a high rate of speed, struck a large landscaping rock and rolled across Cole Road Sunday night, Boise police say. The girl, who is under 15, remains hospitalized Monday with serious injuries.

The adult female driver of the car, who had to be extricated, was treated at a local hospital and released. Blood was drawn from the driver for testing.

The crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of Cole Road and Northview Street. The vehicle was traveling east on Northview Street when it veered off the street just west of the intersection, struck the rock, went through the St. Mark's School parking lot and rolled across Cole Road. The vehicle came to rest on its side, against the Northview Dental Center building.

A police spokesman said he did not have information on the relationship between the woman and girl, where they live, their ages or the type of vehicle they were traveling in.

The investigation is ongoing. No citations have been issued.
