Boise State University graduate and portrait artist Toni McMillan has come up with a great way to give back to her alma mater. She created “Portraits of Honor,” a hand-rendered drawing done in charcoal and pencil, and mounted and framed. It’s an alternative to a traditional graduation photograph, McMillan says, and 30 percent of the cost goes toward BSU scholarships. You can meet McMillan on Tuesdays through December at the new Bronco Art Gallery for a consultation. Portraits take 10 to 20 hours to complete. They start at $258.70 and include a free photography session.
