D-Fenders too much for Stampede in teams’ opener

Durrell Summers was one of six Stampede players who scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough as Los Angeles defeated Idaho 112-98 on Wednesday in El Segundo, Calif. Summers, a guard, led Idaho with 21 points and added eight rebounds. Forward Sean Evans had a double-double for Idaho with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Darius Johnson-Odom led the D-Fenders with 30 points. The Stampede play at Bakersfield at 8 p.m. Thursday. Their home opener is Dec. 7 against the Austin Toros.
