Idaho Central District Health offers cardiac risk screenings

Central District Health offers screening for cardiac health and cholesterol, 6:30 to 9 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Central District Health Department, 707 N. Armstrong Place in Boise.

No appointment is necessary, the test will include a cardiac risk profile screening, cholesterol and blood pressure check along with health and nutrition information.

The cost is $20.

Participants must not eat solid food or drink anything other than water for a full 12 hours before the screening. They must not drink alcohol 48 hours prior to the test. Participants can order only one additional blood test.

Worksite clinics can also be arranged.
