Last year's Zions Bank Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration was held Nov. 26, 2011, on the Grove Plaza in downtown Boise. The Grove was filled with families holding candles and singing carols along with the Encore Theatre Carolers and the Celebration Band. Boise City Mayor Dave Bieter and family flipped the switch to light the tree.

Join Mayor Dave Bieter and ring in the season with Christmas carols, hot cider, candles and community at the Downtown Boise holiday tree lighting. The Encore Theatre Carolers and the Celebration Band will lead the singalong and salute the military. This year’s Giving Tree benefits the Women’s and Children’s Alliance. Take a tag from the tree, fill a need and deliver it to the WCA, 720 W. Washington St., and help area women and children rebuild their lives.
