If youre looking to carve some turns after carving a turkey, youll have to hit Sun Valley Resort or Grand Targhee Resort.
Other ski areas in the region need more snow to open.
SUN VALLEY
Sun Valley Resort will open Baldy and Dollar mountains Thursday, Nov. 22.
The River Run side of Baldy will open with River Run and Lookout Express chairlifts allowing skiers access to Upper College, Roundhouse Lane and Mid and Lower River Run.
For tiny Baldy skiers, the Kinderspielplatz moving carpet will operate.
Dollar Mountain skiers and boarders can expect Quarter Dollar lift, Poverty Flats and Quarter Dollar Bowl to be accessible.
Carols Dollar Mountain Lodge and River Run Lodge will be open.

GRAND TARGHEE
Grand Targhee on the Idaho/Wyoming border will open Friday, Nov. 23, for top-to-bottom skiing and boarding on Freds Mountain.
Three out of five lifts will be running at the resort, east of Idaho Falls.
Dreamcatcher, Shoshone and Papoose Magic Carpet are scheduled to run conditions permitting from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The resort is offering discounts on day passes for donations of canned goods to the Teton Valley Food Bank.
