The Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St., is offering reduced adoption fees for pets — 50 percent off between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., then 25 percent off between 2 and 6 p.m. on Friday. The first 25 adopters will also get special pet-care giveaways.

The IHS PetSmart Adoption Center, inside the PetSmart at 130 N. Milwaukee, is also offering reduced adoptions fees on more than 35 pets, including many small breed dogs. Rates will be reduced by 50 percent between 7 and 11 a.m. and 25 percent off between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.

All animals adopted from IHS are spayed or neutered. They are microchipped; and have received their initial round of vaccinations. Each adopter also receives a goody bag with a pet food sample and coupons for pet-related businesses.
